Availability Zones
Sal Carrasco
Availability Zones are distinct facilities within a metro that are engineered to be isolated from failures in other Availability Zones. Customers want the ability to deploy to Availability Zones so they can operate production applications, databases, and services that are more highly available, fault tolerant, and scalable than would be possible from deploying to a single facility.

3rd Facility in an EU Metro

Add a 3rd Equinix Facility to the Equinix Metal Facilities in FRA or AMS.
This would allow consensus-based fault tolerant clusters in the EU, because you need 2N+1 availability zones/Facilities to handle up to N Facility failures (without downtime).
