the use case for this feature is expected to be solved by the upcoming VRF feature with BGP based redundancy and customer managed load balancing to their instances attached to their private IP blocks.

that sounds pretty cool, Enkel. I guess this would have an API to enable/disable per instance, and some sort of convergence time?

Hey Matt Johnson - this could solve for virtual IP for active/passive redundant network appliances as well I think
