Allow the ability to pass several Metro locations in order of importance or "any" when provisioning an instance with "metro". This would work similar to "facilities" where you can pass an array of facilities and the API will choose the location in order of importance/capacity levels. Users can also pass "any" for more general tasks that aren't latency sensitive.

My 2 cents: With the deprecation of "facilities" parameter by the end of the year, we won't be able to request instances from different metros at the same time, IMHO, this is a step back in terms of usability and flexibility. To provide more context, we currently use "metro" for elasticIP assignation and "facilities" for instances in order to deploy in the best possible location based on availability, prices, etc. In summary, we use both parameters in our Terraform automation to increase our reliability but if Equinix finally deprecates "facilities", we won't be able to deploy in multiple metros at the same time, which limits the automation and the instance reachability/availability. NOTE: how about including "metros" parameter as an array of metro locations similar to "facilities"? Best Regards.

"any" might be interesting in a world where there are differences between server prices. "amer", "emea", "apac" might also be interesting choices.

Jason Powers: Not all the time but it's very helpful to have as an option for those that aren't latency sensitive and want an easy way to scale up quickly.

Enkel Prifti is this a very common requirement among customers? Can you say more about who might want or need this? examples of customers?
