Some use cases require dozens or even hundreds of VLANs. Currently, [projects are limited to 5 VLANs](https://deploy.equinix.com/developers/docs/metal/layer2-networking/vlans/), with no formal path for buying or unlocking more (support can increase the limit modestly). Provide a service tier or a way for users to safely deploy and manage up to ~100 and then up to max (~4k) VLANs.

When building a multi-tenant vSphere platform in multiple Metros, one could reach the limit of 200 VLAN's soon. 200+ VLAN's per project are rapidly used what the platform scales on Metal. For example: When every customer has 4 upstream VLAN's on average for routing to their hyperscaler / internet / on-prem location, only 30-35 customers can be put on the platform, which is quite limited.
